About

After a few failed attempts at cross country throughout my middle and high school years I had declared that I was not a runner. A few years I decided that running was, in fact, a great thing and I entered the RCU Charity Classic 10K. I do recall at about .5 mile from the finish yelling out to my now husband “Who’s dumb*** idea was this?” and then I passed the lady in front of me and finished with a time of 1:03. I was hooked. Since then I have run the Charity Classic 3 more times in addition to a whole list of other races ranging from 1/2 marathons to 2 miles.

I acquired a Personal Training certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and a Group Fitness Instructor Certification from the National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA). I will complete my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in March 2011 and currently teach Yoga classes at my studio and other location through out Eau Claire, they’re great fun and we spend a lot of time making sure you’re doing the poses correctly at whatever level you need to do them.

The race that started it all - RCU Charity Classic 10K in 2008

Although I decided I never wanted to take another class about the human body in high school I now find myself on a constant search to absorb any and all information about how our bodies work and function. I like to try new things and find that learning from an experienced teacher is usually the best option. I’m not afraid to make a fool of myself trying out a new exercise class, that’s how I learned I will not be teaching step classes anytime soon.
